Job Description :
The Incumbent shall lead project teams, define project scope, goals, and deliverables, and develop comprehensive project plans which includes setting timelines, allocating resources, and managing budgets.
Responsibilities :
- Technical Expertise : Oversee the design, procurement, and installation of key plant equipment such as mixers, pumps, Reactors, Filling, Packaging machines and material handling systems. Ensure all equipment meets operational and safety standards.
- As-Built Document Analysis : The ability to thoroughly review and interpret outdated or incomplete 'as-built' drawings, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and other historical plant documents.
- Site and Equipment Assessment : Expertise in assessing the current condition and integrity of existing equipment, pipelines, and structural components. This includes identifying signs of wear, corrosion, and structural weaknesses that could affect the project.
- Interference and Clash Detection : Strong spatial reasoning and the ability to identify potential physical interferences between new and old equipment, piping, and structures, often using 3D scanning and modeling software.
- Legacy System Integration : Knowledge of how to integrate modern control systems (e.g., DCS, PLC) and equipment with older, often obsolete, plant technology.
- Infrastructure Management : Supervise projects related to civil infrastructure, including the design and construction of buildings, foundations, and specialized structures like warehouse racking systems, Building extension, Strengthening Projects
- Safety and Compliance : Implement and enforce safety protocols, with a strong focus on mitigating chemical hazards. Ensure all project activities comply with local, state, and MIDC, DISH regulations regarding environmental, health, and safety standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with various departments, including operations, maintenance, engineering, and procurement, to ensure seamless project execution. Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders.
- Shutdown and Turnaround Planning : Expertise in meticulously planning and managing plant shutdowns (turnarounds) to execute modifications efficiently within a tight, non-negotiable timeframe.
- Management of Change (MOC) : A deep understanding of the Management of Change process, ensuring that all modifications are properly documented, reviewed, and approved by all relevant stakeholders (e.g., safety, operations, engineering) before implementation.
