Costing And Budgeting Manager

Job description

Costing & Budgeting

Develop and manage project cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts for real estate projects
Prepare and validate Bill of Quantities (BOQ)
Conduct rate estimations and ensure cost optimization
Lead costing, budgeting, and billing activities for real estate projects
Monitor and control project expenditures to ensure adherence to approved budgets
Perform detailed analysis of project cost components including materials, labor, and overheads
Prepare comprehensive cost plans aligned with project timelines and milestones
Conduct variance analysis, identify deviations, and recommend corrective actions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain cost efficiency without compromising quality

Billing & Payments

Oversee complete billing process for contractors, vendors, and consultants

Validate invoices against approved work orders and ensure timely processing

Prepare and review interim and final bills in compliance with project and contractual terms

Coordinate with project teams to ensure accurate measurements and certifications of work completed

Manage payment schedules and ensure timely disbursement of funds

Resolve billing discrepancies and maintain accurate financial documentation

Reporting & Compliance

Generate and analyze periodic reports on cost performance, budget utilization, and billing status

Ensure compliance with all regulatory and organizational financial standards

Assist in internal and external audits with complete documentation support

Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and cost management tools

Key Requirements

Proven experience in BOQ preparation, rate estimation, and billing processes

Prior experience in handling teams including on-roll and off-roll resources

Experience in managing MEP and additional resource requirements based on business needs

Candidates currently consulting for Godrej are not eligible

Key Skills & Competencies

Strong technical knowledge of cost estimation, budgeting, and billing in real estate

Proficiency in MS Excel, Tally, ERP systems, and project management tools

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
