Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Engineer specializing in Hydrology to join our team in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will lead complex hydrological projects, conduct advanced analyses, and provide expert guidance on water resource management initiatives.
- Develop and implement sophisticated hydrological models to assess water resources and flood risks
- Lead and manage multidisciplinary teams on large-scale water resource projects
- Conduct detailed hydrological analyses and interpret complex data sets
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hydrological considerations into broader engineering projects
- Stay current with emerging technologies and methodologies in the field of hydrology
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the technical growth of the team
- Ensure compliance with local and international water regulations and policies
- Participate in business development activities and proposal writing
Qualifications
Master's degree in Hydrology, Water Resources Engineering, or a closely related fieldMinimum of 8-10 years of experience in hydrology or water resources engineeringAdvanced knowledge of hydrological modeling software such as HEC-HMS and SWMMProficiency in GIS software, including ArcGIS or QGISStrong data analysis and statistical skillsExcellent technical writing and report preparation abilitiesProgramming skills in languages such as Python or RDemonstrated experience in flood risk assessment and managementProject management experience, including the ability to lead multidisciplinary teamsIn-depth understanding of hydrological processes and water resource managementKnowledge of local and international water regulations and policiesProfessional Engineering (PE) license preferredExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsDetail-oriented approach with strong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesWillingness to travel to project sites as neededSkills Required
