Role Summary
WSP is currently seeking for an Senior Engineer to join our Land Development & Municipal Engineering Team located at our Bengaluru office. This role is more responsible to work, coordinate and guide the Junior Engineers on Wet Utility Designs (Hydrology / Hydraulics) for municipal projects. Specific design work will focus on Sanitary, Storm, water systems, flood assessment, management / coordination with associated shallow dry & wet utilities
Responsibilities
- Coordination & Review of Preliminary and Detail Designs of Sanitary Collection, Storm Drainage
- Coordination & Review of Hydraulic Network Analysis of Water Systems and Networks
- Coordination & Review of Flood Assessment & Modelling Studies
- Review of Existing and Proposed Utility base drawings to identify and tabulate areas of Clash
- Coordination with other designers and engineers of project team members to produce drawings
- Preparation of reports, documenting the results of study, modelling and design work
- Responsible for mentioring Junior Enigneers during design development stage
- Assist in preparation of proposals, cost estimates and work assessment in projects
- Support junior / other technical staff in completion of project deliverables
- Other duties as assigned
Key Competencies / Skills
Graduate / Post Graduate degree from an accredited university with focus on Civil, Water Resource / EnvironmentProfessional Engineer / Design background with minimum 8-12 years of experienceDesign & Review of Storm water management, catchment delineation and storm analysisDesign & Review of water resources planning, Design of Sewer network and Hydraulic analysisGood knowledge on Softwares like SewerGEMS, WaterGEMS, Civil 3D are desiredKnowledge and experience in watercourse management including erosion control, flood assessment and natural channel designExperience in the design of sewer & water network designs for planned layouts and developmentsExperience in complying with client design standards, regulations are added advantageHaving knowledge of computer models commonly used in water resources engineering including PC-SWMM, HEC-RAS, Hydro CAD, Info Works ICM, Culvert Master etc; is an added advantageAble to understand and follow local design and regulatory requirementsProficient knowledge in the use of Excel spreadsheet and database toolsQualifications
Graduate / Post Graduate in a relevant discipline of Civil, Water Resource and EnvironmentMinimum of 8 to 12 years relevant work experience in Design field of Water,Sanitary, Storm Modelling Projects, Flood Assessment, Flood Modelling, Hydraulic & Hydrology AnalysisAbility to review / mentor Junior Staffs, work well as part of a team or on an individual basisGood knowledge in Region Standards / Codes, Detailed Technical Drawings and SpecificationsStrong attention to detail, good communication, coordination skillsAbility to guide, mentor and review the Design / Drawings or Production Works of Junior EngineersSkills Required
