About the Role :
The Senior Engineer will be a key contributor in building and scaling a modern financial data platform. This role focuses on Snowflake, dbt, and financial systems integration, helping Accounting and Finance teams gain trusted insights and ensure accurate financial reporting.
As a Senior Engineer, you will work closely with other engineers, analysts, and Finance partners to design, implement, and optimize data pipelines that power critical financial systems, reporting, and compliance needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving business problems through technical solutions.
What You’ll Do :
Snowflake Data Engineering : Develop and optimize data warehouse solutions in Snowflake, ensuring performance and scalability for finance and accounting workloads.
dbt Development : Build and maintain dbt models and transformations that enable clean, governed, and auditable financial data flows.
Financial Systems Integration : Implement data pipelines that source from ERP and finance systems to support revenue recognition, reconciliations, and accounting processes.
ETL / ELT Pipelines : Design, build, and maintain reliable data pipelines and workflows using Snowflake, dbt, and other tools.
Collaboration : Work directly with Finance and Accounting partners to translate business requirements into technical designs and data solutions.
Data Quality & Compliance : Ensure accuracy, consistency, and traceability of financial data to support audit and compliance requirements.
Team Contribution : Collaborate in an agile engineering environment, participating in code reviews, sprint planning, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.
Knowledge Sharing : Mentor junior engineers and share best practices for Snowflake and dbt usage within the team.
What You’ll Bring :
Bachelors in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
5-7 years of professional experience in data engineering or data platform roles, preferably with financial systems.
3+ years hands-on experience with Snowflake for data warehousing, performance tuning, and secure data sharing.
2+ years of dbt experience (building models, transformations, testing, and documentation).
Strong SQL development skills with focus on efficiency and maintainability.
Experience working with financial or accounting data, translating business requirements into data pipelines.
Understanding of accounting concepts (e.g., revenue recognition, double-entry principles) and ability to partner with Finance / Accounting teams.
Familiarity with CI / CD workflows (Git, GitHub, GitLab, or similar).
