We are seeking a skilled Linux Support Engineer to join our Managed Services team.
The role involves providing 24×7 operational support, troubleshooting, and performance optimization for Linux-based systems across on-premise and multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
The ideal candidate will combine deep Linux expertise with strong customer service skills and a passion for automation and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L2 / L3 support for Linux servers in a managed services environment, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
- Monitor system health and respond to incidents using enterprise monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Grafana, ServiceNow).
- Perform regular maintenance tasks : patching, upgrades, kernel tuning, and security hardening.
- Troubleshoot OS, network, and application issues, ensuring adherence to SLAs and ITIL processes.
- Implement and maintain configuration management and automation (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or similar).
- Collaborate with Cloud, Network, and Security teams to support multi-cloud operations.
- Maintain detailed documentation for standard operating procedures, root cause analyses, and change requests.
- Participate in on-call rotation for 24×7 support and planned maintenance windows.
- Work closely with clients to provide proactive recommendations for capacity planning, performance tuning, and cost optimization.
Required Skills & Qualifications
3–6 years of experience in Linux / Unix system administration (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, or similar).Strong knowledge of cloud environments (AWS preferred; Azure / GCP a plus).Experience with scripting / automation (Bash, Python, Ansible, or Terraform).Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management).Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls).Hands-on experience with security hardening, patch management, and backup solutions.Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills, with a customer-centric mindset.Preferred / Nice To Have
Relevant certifications such as RHCSA / RHCE, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or Linux Foundation Certified Engineer.Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI / CD pipelines.Experience with FinOps or cost-optimization practices in cloud environments.What We Offer
