What You'll Do

BCG has been on an exciting Generative AI journey, transforming internal operations with cutting edge AI technologies. We are seeking a GenAI Senior specialist with strong Data Ingestion Engineering foundation- someone who has grown from data engineering background into AI / Gen AI and can actively contribute to both the areas, and is passionate about designing, developing, deploying and optimizing Gen AI products at scale.

This role will be hosted in the Data Product Portfolio within BCG, and the individual will be embedded as part of the Data Ingestion and Analyst Chapter, focusing primarily on GenAI solutions while contributing as a Data Ingestion Engineer where required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of GenAI solutions, ensuring scalability and measurable business impact.
• Act as a hands-on coding contributor (IC), driving AI / GenAI use cases from prototype to production.
• Build and maintain scalable data ingestion pipelines for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
• Implement ETL / ELT workflows using dbt.
• Ensure data quality and compliance with governance and security requirements across data ingestion processes.
• Curate, transform, and prepare datasets for LLM fine-tuning, embeddings, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines.
• Work with vector databases to optimize context retrieval for GenAI applications.
• Contribute to MLOps / LLMOps practices, including CI / CD pipelines, performance monitoring, and guardrails to reduce risks like hallucinations.
• Collaborate closely with other data engineers, AI engineers, and product owners to deliver robust, reliable solutions.
• Share insights and stay up-to-date on emerging GenAI frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, multi-agent systems).
• Contribute knowledge to team discussions, helping evolve GenAI best practices within the portfolio.
