Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Thermal Design Engineer to lead the design and optimization of industrial drying systems and thermal process equipment . The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in heat balance calculations, drying kinetics, and CFD analysis for process equipment handling alternate fuels, biomass, and industrial wastes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform heat and mass balance calculations for drying systems, including pre-heater, cooler, and hot gas generator integrations.
• Develop and validate drying kinetics models for various waste and AFR materials (e.G., RDF, biomass, sludge, etc.).
• Design and size thermal components—heat exchangers, rotary and belt dryers, and air / gas flow systems.
• Conduct CFD simulations to analyze temperature distribution, flow patterns, and heat transfer efficiency.
• Optimize energy consumption and ensure compliance with emission and safety standards.
• Work closely with mechanical, process, and automation teams to translate design concepts into manufacturable systems.
• Support R&D efforts in prototype testing, performance evaluation, and scale-up design.
• Prepare technical documentation including design reports, datasheets, and performance specifications.
