Role Overview :
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented
EHS Trainee
to join our team. The trainee will support the EHS department in implementing safety practices, environmental management systems, and compliance initiatives across the manufacturing facility. This role offers hands-on exposure to EHS operations in the FMCG / personal care industry.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Conduct daily safety rounds / inspections in the workplace.
2. Identify unsafe acts / conditions and report to seniors for corrective action.
3. Monitor proper use of PPE by employees and contractors.
4. Maintain safety-related records (PPE issue register, inspection checklists, accident log, training attendance).
5. Assist in preparing monthly safety performance reports.
6. Support in compliance with statutory safety requirements (Factories Act, OSHA, etc. as applicable).
7. Assist in conducting toolbox talks (TBT) and daily safety briefings.
8. Support safety induction training for new workers / employees.
9. Help organize safety awareness campaigns and mock drills.
10. Report and record first aid cases, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
11. Follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
12. Support implementation of Permit-to-Work systems (hot work, confined space, height work, electrical jobs).
13. Ensure safety signs, barricading, and warning boards are in place.
14. Verify tools, tackles, and equipment are inspected and fit for use.
15. Participate in fire drills, evacuation drills, and emergency response.
16. Support in maintaining fire extinguishers and emergency equipment.
Desired Skills & Competencies :
Strong interest in EHS, sustainability, and compliance in a manufacturing setup.
Knowledge of EHS standards, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and applicable statutory regulations (preferred).
Good analytical, observation, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Eligibility :
Graduate / Postgraduate students in EHS.
Freshers or candidates with 0–1 year of experience in EHS are encouraged to apply.
