We're looking for a hands-on Editor who thrives in a startup. You should move fast, think clearly, and own stories end-to-end. You will ensure editorial quality and create stories through research, writing, and interviews with decision-makers.
What You'll Do
- Manage the editorial pipeline from idea to publication.
- Research trends, leadership moves, and company developments to develop original stories.
- Interview founders, CXOs, and other leaders for quote-backed narratives.
- Edit content from internal and external contributors for clarity and flow.
- Shape stories of all lengths with solid structure and pace.
- Work with design and social teams to adapt content for LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, and more.
- Partner with the founding team to shape our editorial voice and brand.
Who You Are
A self-starter who can research, write, and edit independently.Comfortable in a fast, iterative startup with little hand-holding.Able to juggle multiple stories while keeping quality and meeting deadlines.Have a strong sense of what makes content resonate — via data, insight, or emotion.Comfortable writing about business, people, technology, culture, and leadership.Curious about India's startup, HR, and tech ecosystems and eager to decode trends.Qualifications
4–14 years in editorial work, journalism, or business storytelling.Proven experience interviewing leaders, producing research-driven articles, or managing editorial projects.Excellent language skills, strong structure, and attention to detail.This is a part-time role to start. It is flexible enough to work alongside other engagements. There is potential to move to full-time if it's a mutual fit. We're looking for someone who wants to help grow a startup into a media house.
