Offshore -Senior Azure Data Engineer

Position : Azure Data Engineer (Offshore - Remote) Experience : 5 - 8  years Start Date : Need to start in September Engagement Type : Full-Time About the Role : Smartbridge is seeking an Azure Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize data solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure technologies.

The ideal candidate will have 5 to 8 years of experience working with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Synapse Analytics, SQL, and ETL processes .

Responsibilities : Develop and maintain ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) .

Design and implement data models for efficient storage and retrieval in Azure Synapse Analytics .

Optimize SQL queries and performance tuning for large datasets.

Work with Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, and other cloud data solutions .

Implement data security measures , including role-based access control (RBAC) and data masking .

Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Technical Skills Required : Azure Data Factory (ADF) – Building, orchestrating, and monitoring data pipelines.

Azure Synapse Analytics – Data modeling, performance optimization.

SQL Server & T-SQL – Writing complex queries, stored procedures.

ETL & Data Transformation – Experience handling large datasets.

Azure Data Lake & Blob Storage – Managing structured and unstructured data.

Power BI or other visualization tools (preferred but not mandatory).

Python or Spark (Databricks experience is a plus).

Additional Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field .

Microsoft Azure certification (preferred but not mandatory).

Experience in Oil & Gas, Life Science, or Food & Beverage is a plus.

• 100% remote role – Must be available for the second shift to overlap with the US team until Noon CST .

3-month probation period before full-time confirmation.

If certification is not already held, it must be completed during probation.

Recruitment Process & Technical Testing : Candidates will undergo a 45-60 minute TestGorilla assessment , including : Intro Video Section – Candidate introduction & motivation.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills – Scenario-based questions.

Technical Test – Covering SQL, Azure Data Engineering-related questions, and possible coding tasks.
