Title : Accounts Manager

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Manager to lead core accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain statutory compliance, and support strategic financial functions within the organization. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical accounting knowledge, hands-on experience in end-to-end Record-to-Report (R2R) processes, and the ability to coordinate effectively with auditors, statutory authorities, and internal stakeholders.
This role requires excellent analytical skills, strong organizational capabilities, and the ability to work with precision in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Accounting & Month-End Close
- Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process with strict adherence to timelines.
- Review and post all month-end journal entries (accruals, provisions, adjustments, amortizations, prepaid expenses, etc.).
- Ensure accuracy of the general ledger (GL) and validate all ledger reconciliations.
- Prepare and review P&L statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, variance reports, and schedules.
- Monitor and resolve reconciliation differences and pending open items in a timely manner.
- Ensure accurate mapping of financial data to the chart of accounts.
2. Financial Reporting & Compliance
Prepare monthly and quarterly MIS reports with detailed insights, trends, and variance analysis.Ensure compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), Companies Act requirements, taxation norms, and internal financial controls.Prepare audit schedules, workings, and supporting documentation for internal and statutory auditors.Ensure timely completion of internal, statutory, and tax audits.Support the preparation of audited financial statements and notes to accounts.3. Accounts Payable, Receivable & Intercompany Accounting
Review and oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes for accuracy and completeness.Review vendor reconciliations, payment cycles, credit adjustments, and ageing analysis.Ensure accurate booking and settlement of intercompany transactions and balances.Verify GRN entries, vendor invoices, expense claims, and payment approvals as per company policy.Manage AP-GL and AR-GL reconciliations to ensure real-time accuracy.4. Reconciliation & Controls
Perform detailed reconciliations of bank accounts, vendor accounts, customer accounts, loan accounts, and balance sheet schedules.Implement and monitor internal controls, risk mitigation measures, and financial SOPs.Identify gaps in accounting controls and recommend corrective actions.5. Direct & Indirect Taxation Support
Ensure proper accounting and timely reconciliation of GST (Input & Output).Coordinate with GST officers regarding notices, assessments, and hearings.Support TDS calculations, returns, and reconciliation activities.Work closely with consultants for compliance with Income Tax, GST, PF / ESI (if applicable), and company law requirements.6. Audit Support & Documentation
Drive end-to-end audit processes including statutory, internal, tax, and system audits.Prepare supporting documents, audit schedules, and responses to auditor queries.Maintain accounting documentation, process notes, SOPs, and financial records as per regulatory requirements.7. Stakeholder Coordination & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with Sales, Operations, HR, Procurement, Finance, and Senior Management teams for accounting data and process alignment.Provide accounting guidance and support to cross-functional teams.Ensure timely communication of financial insights to management for decision-making.8. System & Process Enhancement
Identify opportunities to automate, streamline, and optimize accounting workflows.Support implementation of new accounting tools, ERP enhancements, and process improvements.Maintain updated knowledge of best practices in R2R processes and financial compliance.Required Skills & Competencies
Strong command over accounting principles, GL accounting, and R2R processes.Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookup formulas, dynamic formulas, dashboards).Ability to create polished PowerPoint presentations for management reporting.Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.High attention to detail with strong documentation abilities.Ability to work independently, multitask, and deliver under strict timelines.Education Requirements
Minimum B.Com / CA
MBA in FinanceAdditional certifications in taxation, accounting software, or financial analysis will be an added advantageExperience Requirements
8 - 10 years of relevant experience in Accounts, General Ledger Management, R2R, Financial Reporting, or similar roles.Hands-on experience in managing audits, reconciliations, and financial statements.Exposure to ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally Prime, MS Dynamics, or similar) preferred.Why Join Us
