We are seeking exceptional Senior Mobile Engineers (React Native) to join our fast-paced and innovative health tech team. This is a unique opportunity to lead a fundamental shift in our mobile strategy as we transition to a unified React Native platform. You will be instrumental in building a new, offline-first application from the ground up, working alongside our existing native Android and iOS teams. The role requires a deep understanding of mobile architecture, a passion for solving complex data challenges, and a commitment to creating a secure and seamless user experience.
The ideal candidates will be seasoned mobile developers with extensive experience in React Native and a strong portfolio of published applications. You must have a solid understanding of a FHIR backend , leveraging GraphQL and RESTful APIs , and be prepared to tackle the complexities of an offline-first paradigm to store critical patient data securely on-device. This role demands a high degree of technical leadership, architectural vision, and a collaborative mindset to mentor others and drive the project to success.

Responsibilities :
Offline-First & Data Architecture :
- Design and implement a robust offline-first data layer for the new React Native application.
- Architect and build a resilient synchronization engine to handle bidirectional data flow between the device and our FHIR backend, implementing a hybrid push-pull model.
- Define and implement an intelligent merge-based conflict resolution strategy to prevent data loss in a high-stakes, disconnected environment.
- Manage local data storage, including large binary files (e.g., medical images, documents) on the device&aposs file system, ensuring efficient access and a dual storage approach.
React Native Development & Leadership :
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of a high-quality, scalable, and secure React Native application from scratch.Define and implement scalable component architecture and state management strategy.Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure high standards of code quality, security, and performance.Act as a technical mentor for junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.Collaborate closely with our native Android and iOS teams to ensure seamless functionality and knowledge transfer.API Integration & Health Tech Domain :
Integrate a GraphQL API alongside RESTful APIs to deliver efficient and dynamic data handling from our FHIR backend.Implement FHIR-compliant solutions for seamless interoperability with healthcare systems.Architect and implement real-time, event-driven features using Pub / Sub patterns and WebSocket principles.Security & Compliance :
Enforce a security-first, privacy-by-design mindset throughout the development lifecycle.Implement robust on-device security measures, including hardware-backed key management and AES-256 encryption , to protect sensitive Protected Health Information (PHI) and ensure compliance with regulations like HIPAA, GDPR, and DPDP .Innovation & Continuous Improvement :
Leverage AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development while maintaining a strong sense of critical thinking and code ownership.Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in React Native, mobile architecture, and health tech to ensure our application remains at the cutting edge.Proactively address technical debt and enhance the scalability and maintainability of the codebase.Qualifications :
Experience : Minimum 5-7 years of professional experience in mobile application development , with at least 2 years in a senior capacity using React Native .Programming Languages : Expertise in JavaScript / TypeScript.Mobile Ecosystem : Deep knowledge of the React Native ecosystem, including component lifecycles, state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Zustand), and navigation.Offline-First : Proven experience in designing and implementing robust offline-first applications with complex data synchronization and conflict resolution.API Expertise : Strong understanding of GraphQL and experience integrating GraphQL and RESTful APIs, particularly in a health tech or similar domain.Data Security : A strong understanding of mobile security best practices, including encryption, secure data storage, and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA).CI / CD : Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment pipelines for mobile apps.Problem-Solving : Exceptional analytical and debugging skills with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.Leadership : A strong ability to lead projects, mentor junior developers, and drive architectural decisions.Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.Ownership : A high degree of ownership and accountability for the quality, security, and performance of the product.Prior experience in Native Android (Kotlin) or iOS (Swift) development.Experience in healthtech or another highly regulated industry.A portfolio of published applications that demonstrate an understanding of complex data and security challenges.Familiarity with FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) standards.Knowledge of specific tools like Firebase, Sentry, or other mobile observability platforms.Experience with multi-module app structures and large-scale mobile application architecture.Show more
