About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Sales & Merchandising Manager to join our growing team at Gaurav Gupta Couture.
This role bridges sales operations, buyer relations, merchandising, and cross-functional coordination, ensuring seamless execution from order placement to global dispatch — while upholding the brand's luxury standards.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Operations & Order Management
- Receive and process all buyer orders, ensuring timely confirmations and dispatch schedules aligned with international guidelines.
- Maintain detailed order sheets, sales reports, and inventory trackers to monitor RTW stock movement and sales performance.
- Manage EDI setup, UPCs on GS1 portal, catalogue uploads, and follow up on EDI purchase orders.
- Research competitive brands and retail footprints to stay updated on global and domestic fashion market trends.
- Plan RTW orders in coordination with the brand's sales heads.
Customer, Internal & External Relations
Manage domestic and international MBOs (Multi-Brand Outlets) and trunk shows, including scouting new sales agencies and buyers.Coordinate closure of commercial terms, ensure MOU compliance, and act as a single point of contact (SPOC) for cross-departmental communication.Support on-ground teams during events and fashion weeks, ensuring timely setup and final sales reporting.Vendor Coordination & Production Support
Identify and coordinate with vendors for fashion week, brand events, and showroom requirements.Manage showroom logistics including space bookings, furniture, and equipment arrangements.Oversee vendor payments, dispatch coordination, returns, and stock reconciliations.Store & Logistics Coordination
Work closely with store teams to manage stock allocation, replenishment, and product dispatches.Ensure accurate handling of dispatch documents, ASNs, and invoices, in line with international shipping guidelines.Manage reverse logistics and ensure timely delivery in collaboration with logistics partners.Cross-Functional Collaboration
Liaise with Finance for invoice generation, payment settlements, and ledger reconciliation.Coordinate with Design for sketches, RTW line sheets, and costing approvals.Support Marketing by arranging merchandise for shoots, PR placements, and buyer previews.Work with Production & QC to ensure timely dispatches and fabric availability.Collaborate with IT for EDI systems, data updates, and troubleshooting.Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's / Master's degree in Fashion Management, Business, or Merchandising (NIFT / NID / IIM or equivalent preferred).2–4 years of experience in luxury fashion, merchandising, or retail operations.Strong coordination, communication, and analytical skills.Working knowledge of Excel, EDI systems, and GS1 portals preferred.Passion for fashion, craftsmanship, and global luxury retail.Skills Required
