To support the customers in IMEA market, Ecolab has established a state-of-the-art Research, Development and Engineering (RDE) center in Pune. We are seeking candidate who has strong collaboration and teamwork skills, is self-motivated, has good communication skills, is creative problem solvers, and possess strong observation and agility and perception skills.
Job Description
- Individual will be part of the Operational Innovation team, driving value in the sourcing of raw materials by enabling material cost optimization, supply resilience, and revenue growth.
- Primary responsibility is to support raw material alternate supplier approval projects, localizations and finish good cost optimization
- Ecolab operates in an increasingly complex environment. OI resources are needed to help ensure that alt. supplier approvals maintain compliance with regulations.
- The successful candidate will gain insight into Ecolab raw materials and could take on greater responsibilities within Bridge
Responsibilities
Follow all safety policies and guidelines during lab work and site visitsAbility to quickly learn processes, softwares and deliver on the objectives impactfullyAssessment and qualification of various raw materials, development of lab test protocols for new raws qualification for approval of a new supplierRequires working on benches, conducting wet chemistry experiments, 60-80% of time depending on needsConduct product formulation preparations, product stability studies with otherchemicals / materials, product stability studies, performance studiesAble to conduct literature search and solve problems in areas of water, wastewater, food, hygiene chemicals and packaging materialsWork as a key technical contributor on projects / experiments / research of significant scope and complexity with very high impact on the businessAct with considerable latitude in determining technical approach required to meet desired outcomesInterpret experimental / field trial data and communicate results clearly to peers and project teams in written reports and oral presentations.Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure and still deliver on timeBe an advocate of the region during Global meetings / forums to provide the regional needs and highlight challenges and opportunities of the IMEA regionMinimum Qualifications
Masters in Organic / Inorganic / Polymer chemistry2-4 years of industrial experienceStrong written and oral communication skills.Open minded team player, also self-starterFocused and driven while at the same time agile and flexible with the approach and assignments.Good hands-on and lab practicesStrong problem-solving skillsSkills Required
