Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Senior IT Analyst Applications to join Automation and Optimization - CAT IT Division.

The Incumbent would work directly with application architects to tune infrastructure performance, review and execute architecture changes, and maintain data quality through export, ETL, and data modeling standards.

The preference for this role is to be based out of Bangalore – Caterpillar PSN, KA -India

What You Will Do

• Daily monitoring of Production Databases (Oracle Enterprise Manager) and Oracle infrastructure / OS level (Nagios, etc)
• Identification and optimization of long running queries
• Analysis of Journal Logs utilizing Siemens Journal Workbench
• Collaboration with Architects / Support on changes
• Review prior to making changes
• Tracking of impact to ongoing production performance metrics post changes
• Tuning / Engagement for development environments
• Development and optimization of custom python scripts to ingest data into Snowflake
• Data modeling and data transformation using SQL inside of Snowflake
• Lead an agency staff to execute data lake projects using engineering and compliance data
