Role Purpose

The Network Engineer will be responsible for the overall management and maintenance of our company's network infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of networking technologies, strong leadership abilities, and a proactive approach to ensuring network reliability and security. The Network Engineer will collaborate with other departments, and implement best practices to optimize network performance.

Responsibilities We Entrust You With

Network Monitoring & Operations

Monitor LAN, WAN, and wireless networks to ensure continuous availability and performance.
Track network utilization, latency, and errors using tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, or equivalent NMS platforms.
Respond promptly to network alerts, alarms, and incident tickets.

First-Level Troubleshooting

Perform initial diagnosis for connectivity, latency, and hardware-related issues.

Identify and isolate faults in routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.

Escalate unresolved issues to L2 / L3 teams with detailed logs and findings.

Configuration & Maintenance

Assist in basic configuration and installation of networking devices (routers, switches, firewalls, access points).

Support routine network maintenance, firmware updates, and patch management under supervision.

Maintain inventory of network devices and update configuration documentation.

Security & Access Control

Monitor and report any suspicious network activity or unauthorized access attempts.

Support implementation of firewall rules, VPN policies, and security baselines as directed.

Ensure compliance with company IT and security policies.

Incident & Change Management

Log all incidents and service requests in the ticketing system.

Follow established change management procedures for network modifications.

Maintain proper communication with stakeholders on incident status and resolutions.

Reporting & Documentation

Generate regular network health and uptime reports.

Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and configuration changes.

Assist in maintaining updated network topology diagrams.

Educational Qualification

Graduate

Networking certification

Skills and experience :

Experience : 1 to 3 Years

BS / MS in Computer Science, Engineering or similar relevant field

Cisco certifications, CCNA, CCNP added advantages

Experience on Cisco L2 / L3 Switches is must

Experience on FortiGate Firewallis must

Knowledge on Active Domain Controller is must

Soft Skills :

Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and able to handle multiple support cases

Strong writing skills to maintain organized documentation

Customer-oriented, and capable of providing high levels of client satisfaction

Collaborate and work well with others

Desire to learn and develop all necessary technical skills

Strong analytical thinking
