Robotics / Mechatronics Engineer + Subject Matter Expert

We are looking for a  Robotics / Mechatronics Engineer + Subject Matter Expert (SME)  to join the Robotics Specialisation team at our Computer Science & Engineering Department. This academic-focused role requires a strong foundation in robotics, embedded systems, and a passion for teaching and mentoring students in cutting-edge engineering disciplines.

This is a full-time academic role.

Key Responsibilities :

• Course Development & Delivery :   Design and deliver engaging lectures and practical sessions in Robotics, including areas such as robotic kinematics, dynamics, control systems, embedded programming, and perception.
• Lab Management :   Conduct and manage lab sessions using platforms like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ROS (Robot Operating System), and simulation tools like Gazebo or Webots.
• Cross-functional Collaboration :   Work closely with faculty members, researchers, and industry partners to enhance the robotics curriculum and align it with industry demands.
• Academic Excellence & Student Success :   Mentor students, assist with robotics project work, and ensure their academic and technical growth.
• Stakeholder Engagement :   Collaborate with university administrators and Newton School representatives to drive innovation in robotics education.
• Research & Innovation :   Encourage students to engage in research, robotics competitions, and real-world prototyping challenges.
