Roc 360 is a Data Science driven Prop-Tech lender. We are an industry leading, vertically-integrated digital financial services platform and lender, facilitating a broad range of residential real estate loans for professional investors in the US. We are a leading originator of investor loans nationwide.

Founded in 2014, Roc360 employs over 300 people and has funded in excess of $8 billion in loans as of 2022. The company is headquartered in New York City, with offices in four continents.

What We Do

Roc enables investors, brokers and lenders to scale their businesses through innovative products in the real estate space. We want to make it easy for everyone to renovate, own, or invest in homes. Our various business units along with the real estate value chain are geared towards fulfilling this objective.

Our core business unit Roc Capital is focused on capital lending for real estate investment.

Finance of America Commercial is our direct to borrower sales channel.

Tamarisk is our in-house AMC providing property appraisal services.

Elmsure provides Insurance solutions for real estate investors.

We have grown significantly since inception, and we have managed to do this with a commitment to superior underwriting and risk management practices. Our India office is a captive offshore unit based in Chennai and provides analytical and operational support to all of our business units globally.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead the Credit Analyst team in India that underwrites deals for the US market.

Work closely with the Credit Committee in New York to ensure seamless functioning of the credit function.

Ensure quality of credit analysis, train and mentor the team to ensure adherence to underwriting quality metrics.

Oversee daily underwriting pipeline and queues to ensure timely movement, balanced workloads, and efficient resource allocation.

Serve as the first point of contact for escalated or complex underwriting scenarios, providing guidance and resolving issues to support smooth loan flow.

Support and mentor underwriters by providing day-to-day guidance, fostering development, and monitoring team performance.

Ensure underwriting decisions meet agency, investor, and company guidelines while supporting risk management and quality control initiatives.

Ideate and execute process enhancements in the credit function to help improve quality of analysis, and turnaround times.

Interact with clients and other stakeholders to gather feedback and mentor the team accordingly.

Interact with Data Science team to help embed the latest in AI and machine learning into our underwriting processes

Interact with Trading team to ensure that loans are properly structured to be placed on warehouse lines and into securitizations.

Present hand-selected deals to investment committee for final approval.

Background / Experience :

PG / Master’s degree from a premier college with a specialization in finance, economics or a related field.

Additional financial qualification US CFA Level 2+ or FRM Level 2.

Experience in credit analysis, especially in the real estate industry. Exposure to the US market will be an advantage.

Experience in leading a small team of highly skilled analysts.

Exposure to US or European clients and managing offshore teams will be an advantage.

Strong written and oral communication skills

Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
