Shift timing : 06 : 30 PM to 03 : 30 AM

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Coder – HCC (Hierarchical Condition Category) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HCC coding, with at least 3 years of relevant experience, and must be comfortable working night shifts . The role involves reviewing medical records and assigning accurate diagnosis codes to ensure compliance with CMS risk adjustment guidelines.

Key Responsibilities :

Review and analyze medical records to assign accurate HCC / ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes

Ensure coding is in compliance with all CMS and organizational guidelines

Abstract and validate patient data to capture all applicable chronic conditions

Collaborate with providers and documentation specialists to clarify diagnoses

Meet coding productivity and quality benchmarks

Stay updated on industry regulations, payer policies, and coding changes

Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations

Required Qualifications :

Minimum 3 years of experience in HCC coding

Certification from AAPC or AHIMA (e.g., CPC, CRC, CCS, CCS-P)

Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM coding guidelines and risk adjustment models

Proficient in using EMR / EHR systems and coding tools

Excellent analytical and communication skills

Ability to work independently with high accuracy

Willingness to work night shifts is mandatory

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience with Medicare Advantage Plans and Risk Adjustment Programs

Familiarity with RADV audits and suspect conditions validation

Prior experience in remote coding environments
