Intermediate Technical Writer

Technical writers work with internal and external organizations to develop, plan, and write / edit internal and external technical documentation. Work requires use of the appropriate editorial / logical methodologies and process management. Writers must ensure that documentation is written in a manner that customers with limited to highly proficient technical product knowledge can understand and use the material.

Responsibilities

• Researches and analyzes the customer's documentation requirements; writes high quality technical documentation.
• Demonstrates skills in using DITA XML-based authoring tools
• Quickly learns and adopts technology, tools, and processes in a fast-paced environment
• Grasps complex technologies with a strong analytical and technical aptitude.
• Participates in initiatives to improve content quality and usability and to improve team processes.
• Implements information architecture methodologies and techniques
• Demonstrates in-depth understanding of Agile and Waterfall development methodologies
• Possesses understanding of telecommunications, cloud, and networking domains
• Adapts writing style to project requirements; applies principles of minimalism
