API Automation Tester - Java / Selenium

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled API Automation Tester with expertise in Java, Selenium, and API / Web Services automation to join our QA team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical proficiency in automation frameworks, CI / CD integration, and API testing, with the ability to mentor teams and drive automation excellence across projects.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for UI (Selenium WebDriver with Java) and API / Web Services (REST & SOAP).
• Implement and enhance hybrid / custom automation frameworks for scalable and maintainable test execution.
• Utilize tools such as ReadyAPI (preferred), REST Assured, Postman, or SOAP UI for API testing.
• Apply TestNG / JUnit, Maven / Gradle, Git, Jenkins for test execution, CI / CD integration, and pipeline automation.
• Drive TDD / BDD practices and integrate automated tests into Agile development workflows.
• Perform continuous ST, SIT, and E2E regression automation using Jenkins pipelines.
• Integrate test data dynamically from databases (SQL, Oracle, MySQL) for robust validation.
• Work collaboratively with Developers, Product Owners, and Business Analysts to translate requirements into automated test scenarios.
• Ensure alignment with Agile practices using tools like Jira, Rally, Jenkins, Git.
• Provide mentorship and training to QA teams on automation best practices and emerging tools.
