Platform Automation Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading test automation frameworks, tooling, and test data management to optimize enterprise processes through innovative quality engineering solutions and cutting-edge technology. You will lead the design of test data management practices and oversee the development of tools to support test infrastructure. This role involves collaborating with engineering teams to create scalable, high-performance testing solutions, applying modern testing techniques to ensure quality standards are met across all environments. As a manager, you will mentor team members, advocate for quality throughout the development lifecycle, and promote the adoption of shift-left testing practices. Additionally, you will lead efforts to build robust CI / CD pipelines that enable fast feedback and continuous delivery of quality software.
Essential Job Functions
- Manage the design, development, and implementation of quality engineering practices for financial technology solutions. Guide the team in developing and maintaining test frameworks to ensure efficient testing across the enterprise while aligning with quality objectives. - (15%)
- Establish and enforce testing standards, automation strategies, and best practices across the SDLC. Manage the team in resolving complex problems, performance bottlenecks, and quality issues to enhance software efficiency and robustness. - (15%)
- Lead the team in designing and maintaining tools for managing test data across environments. Ensure integration of testing tools into the CI / CD pipeline, supporting automated testing throughout the build and deployment process. - (15%)
- Manage the development of automated test environments and data solutions for system reliability and predictability. Ensure teams have the tools and resources needed for continuous improvement and optimized testing processes. - (15%)
- Act as a technical leader and advisor across quality engineering, product, and business teams. Mentor team members and promote a collaborative culture around test-driven development (TDD) and automation practices. - (10%)
- Promote best practices in quality engineering, test automation, data management, and infrastructure. Lead initiatives for continuous improvement and the development of tools for performance, load, and stress testing. - (5%)
- Coordinate with infrastructure teams to configure scalable testing environments, enabling effective load generation and system response measurement. - (5%)
- Demonstrate deep expertise in at least two programming / scripting languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Python) and lead the design, development, and execution of automated testing frameworks for mission-critical applications. Act as a subject matter expert in platform quality engineering, specifically within financial technology, payment systems, and cloud environments. - (10%)
- Drive the adoption of emerging testing technologies, ensuring alignment with the company s innovation and quality engineering strategy. Collaborate with the team to explore and implement new solutions. - (10%)
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics7+ years of work experience in related field3+ years leading project(s), mentoring and / or coaching experience, demonstrated subject matter expert in platform automationPreferred Qualifications
