About the Role :
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Trainer – Laboratory Automation professional to develop, deliver, and evaluate technical training programs focused on laboratory automation systems and instruments used in pharmaceutical R&D and QC environments. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of automated laboratory workflows, systems integration, and regulatory compliance within pharma labs (GMP, GLP).
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and deliver comprehensive training programs on laboratory automation platforms, instruments, and software.
- Conduct hands-on sessions for new users and experienced professionals covering system operation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and data integrity.
- Train cross-functional teams (QC, QA, R&D, IT, and Engineering) on integrated workflows involving automation systems.
- Collaborate with OEMs, automation vendors, and internal stakeholders to update and align training content with the latest technologies and regulatory standards.
- Develop competency assessment tools and certify participants post-training.
- Maintain training records in compliance with GxP and documentation requirements.
- Support qualification / validation activities and train teams on IQ / OQ / PQ processes for automated systems.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, audits, and performance metrics.
- Mentor junior trainers and serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in laboratory automation.
Required Skills & Competencies :
Strong expertise in laboratory automation systems (e.g., Tecan, Hamilton, Agilent, Waters, Thermo Fisher, Mettler Toledo, etc.).Deep understanding of LIMS, ELN, CDS, and integration with automation platforms .Hands-on experience with instrument qualification, method validation, and compliance documentation .Excellent understanding of 21 CFR Part 11, GAMP5, GMP / GLP guidelines, and data integrity principles .Exceptional communication, presentation, and coaching skills.Ability to simplify complex technical topics into engaging and practical training content.Educational Qualifications :
Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, Instrumentation, or related field .Certification in Training & Development / Instructional Design (preferred).Preferred Background :
Prior experience working in QA / QC labs, R&D automation, or equipment validation within regulated pharmaceutical or biopharma environments.Exposure to digital lab transformation projects or automation implementation .Proven track record of training technical teams in regulated industries.
