Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced RF Integration Engineer / Optimization Engineer to join our team, specializing in the integration and optimization of Ericsson and Nokia equipment for major US customer. This role requires a technical expert who can work independently, mentor junior team members, and deliver high-quality network integration services.
Key Responsibilities
- Integrate and commission Ericsson and Nokia RAN equipment across multiple network deployments
- Perform advanced alarm troubleshooting and resolution, with emphasis on scripting issues, RSSI, VSWR, and fiber loss analysis
- Execute pre-integration testing, integration activities, and post-integration optimization
- Develop and maintain integration scripts and automation tools to improve efficiency
- Analyze RF performance metrics and implement corrective actions to ensure optimal network quality
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including RF engineers, core network teams, and operations centers
- Provide technical training and mentorship to junior engineers
- Coordinate project activities and ensure timely delivery of integration milestones
- Create detailed integration reports and technical documentation
- Participate in troubleshooting complex network issues and provide root cause analysis
- Support network expansion and modernization projects for US tier-1 operators
Required Qualifications
Experience
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in RAN integrationProven experience integrating Ericsson and Nokia equipment (LTE, 5G NR)Demonstrated experience working with US tier-1 operators : AT&T, T-Mobile, and VerizonStrong background in alarm troubleshooting and network performance optimizationTechnical Skills
Expert knowledge of RAN architecture and integration proceduresProficiency in troubleshooting RSSI issuesStrong understanding of VSWR analysis and resolutionExperience identifying and resolving fiber loss issues in fronthaul and backhaul connectionsScripting skills for automation and troubleshooting (Python, Shell, or similar)Familiarity with OMC-R, ENM, NetAct, or equivalent network management systemsUnderstanding of 3GPP standards and protocolsKnowledge of antenna systems, RF propagation, and transmission fundamentalsProfessional Competencies
Ability to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong team collaboration and coordination skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills in EnglishProven ability to train and mentor junior engineersStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesEffective time management and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneouslyWork Requirements
Flexibility to work rotational shifts aligned with US time zonesAvailable for extended hours during critical integration windows or major incidentsWilling to participate in on-call rotation as neededPreferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or related fieldRelevant certifications from Ericsson or NokiaExperience with 5G Standalone (SA) and Non-Standalone (NSA) architecturesKnowledge of cloud RAN (C-RAN) and Open RAN conceptsFamiliarity with carrier aggregation, MIMO, and beamforming technologiesExperience with network automation tools and CI / CD practicesNote : This position requires the ability to work during US business hours and participate in rotational shift schedules to support our US operator clients.
