Reports to : DPA / CSO coordinator
Responsibilities and duties :
Designated by Top management, you have the responsibility and authority for monitoring the health, safety, security, cybersecurity and pollution prevention and to ensure that adequate resources and the appropriate shore-based support are provided as per ISM Code Ch.4 and MSC-MEPC 7 / Circ.5
You have directaccess to Top management.
You shall :
- Comply with IMS and all relevant international rules and regulations;
- Ensure all your duties in accordance with quality, health, safety, environmental, cybersecurity and ethics policies;
- Propose a continuous performance improvement plan which will be reported and reviewed on a periodical basis.
1- With company
You shall :
Keep the ISM certification of the Company up-to-date for each assigned flag;Plan, implement and follow-up internal audits for :Head-office;Subsidiaries;Agencies.Analyze the reports issued on dedicated software;Participate in the Emergency Response Team as per Group organization;Monitor KPIs for your vessels;Ensure trainings of shore and ship staff;Manage your team.Note : DPA / CSO organization is independent from other departments.
2- With vessels
You are the direct contact of the master. You shall :
Supervise implementation and application of ISM, MLC, ISPS and ISO certification;Plan ISM, MLC, ISPS and ISO internal audit;Plan ISM, MLC and ISPS external audits;Supervise the implementation of the Ship Security Plan;Analyze the vessels’ reports on dedicated software;Check the effective implementation of the corrective and preventive actions.Minimum qualifications
Health, Safety and environment culture;Internal auditor training;DPA / CSO training.Experience
Previous experience as Marine Safety Officer. Maritime background is preferred.
