Packaging Development Executive
We're looking for a dynamic and innovative Packaging Development Executive with 2+ years of hands-on experience in the Wellness, Personal Care, Food, and Nutraceuticals sectors . As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for developing functional, cost-effective, compliant, and aesthetically appealing packaging solutions that align with brand, regulatory, and sustainability objectives.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute packaging solutions for new product launches and existing SKUs across the wellness, personal care, food, and nutraceuticals segments.
- Work closely with Product Development, Marketing, Regulatory, Quality Assurance, Procurement, and Manufacturing teams throughout the packaging lifecycle.
- Identify and validate suitable packaging formats, including tubes, bottles, jars, sachets, blister packs, pouches, cartons, and outer shippers.
- Ensure packaging compatibility with various formulations such as oils, creams, powders, capsules, and liquids.
- Conduct line trials , transit tests, stability compatibility checks, and performance validation to ensure robust packaging.
- Evaluate and manage packaging vendors, materials, molds, and artwork development timelines.
- Demonstrate a sound understanding of barrier properties, sealing, filling, labeling, and shelf-life requirements.
- Support sustainability initiatives by recommending recyclable, biodegradable, or lightweight packaging options.
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI, FDA, GMP, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive packaging specifications, Bills of Materials (BOMs), test reports, and documentation for audits.
- Participate in packaging cost optimization and standardization projects.
Required Skills :
Knowledge of packaging materials like HDPE, PET, PP, glass, tubes, aluminum foil, blister packs, cartons, and sustainable alternatives.Familiarity with industry-specific compliance and labeling guidelines (e.g., FSSAI, FDA, Legal Metrology).Proficient in MS Office ; experience with software like ArtiosCAD or Adobe Illustrator is a plus.Strong communication , supplier coordination, and documentation skills.Passion for innovation and aesthetics in packaging.Problem-solving mindset and keen attention to technical detail.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.Qualifications & Experience :
PGD in Packaging from a reputed Institute (IIP & SIES).Bachelor's degree in Polymer Science or Engineering will be an added advantage.Minimum of 2 years of experience in packaging development within the Wellness / Personal Care / Food / Nutraceuticals categories.Preferred Attributes :
Exposure to e-commerce packaging requirements is an advantage.Skills Required
