ISC Lead role in NPI program, DFx deployment for NPIs, Engineering support to Global Manufacturing Lines, Support / drive Localization, Cost productivity, Yield Management, BIQ deployment, ECN / ECO implementation Management.
Role & responsibilities
- Deploy DFx (Design for Manufacturability, Assembly, Testing, Cost etc.) guidelines for NPI program.
- Collaborate with Design Engineering Team to drive DFX aspects in NPIs
- Provide technical support to all Global Manufacturing lines,
- Support / drive localization activities, cost productivity
- Strong hands-on Manufacturing Process - Plastics, Casting, Sheet Metal, Machining & Welding
- Analyze data, charts & graphs, use six sigma tools
- Identify & support development of Jigs, Fixtures & Machine requirements.
- Ability to engage in different functions like engineering, procurement, manufacturing etc. to drive projects. Ability to lead CFT meetings.
- Tolerance Analysis Conduct tolerance analysis and have a solid grasp of drafting standards, particularly ASME 14.5M, DIN, and BSS.
Preferred candidate profile
B. E. or masters degree in (Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering)Relative experience : 10 to 15 YearsKnowledge and skills
Strong knowledge of Manufacturing Processes.Strong hands on CAD software - Creo / Solidworks. Hands on DFM Pro and Other DFM software is added advantageExperience in Cost & Quality improvement projects.Awareness of different quality standards.Sound knowledge in engineering principles, theory and practice as well as product knowledge.Experience in Product Performance, Prototyping & Testing.Exposure / experience to working in a global engineering team environmentTeam player, flexibility in adapting to quickly changing business & task / project prioritiesSkills Required
