eGrove Systems - Senior Network Engineer - IT Infrastructure

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Network Engineer with over 10 years of experience to design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot our critical enterprise network infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise across a wide range of networking technologies and demonstrate strong leadership in network operations, security, and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities :

Network Management & Operations :

• Provide expert-level knowledge and hands-on working experience with a wide array of enterprise networking components, including routers, switches, VPN concentrators, firewalls, wireless access points, and load balancers.
• Be fully responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle management of network hardware and software, including documentation, setup, configuration, upgrades, patching, management, and complex troubleshooting.
• Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of complex network-related infrastructure and performance issues, ensuring minimal impact on application uptime and service delivery.
• Proactively identify and diagnose system problems using advanced tools such as line monitors, network diagnostic software, protocol analyzers, and test equipment.
• Assist in overseeing the installation, documentation, and major upgrades of various facility data network infrastructure components across the agency.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including detailed network architecture topology diagrams, IP schemes, firewall rules, and access control lists (ACLs).
• Collaboration & Project Leadership
• Work closely with the agency's IT infrastructure suppliers and key stakeholders to gather accurate requirements, specifications, and configurations to ensure the network is always current, optimized, and meets business needs.
• Oversee and collaborate extensively with cloud and DevSecOps teams to optimize hybrid connectivity solutions, including SD-WAN (Software-Defined Wide Area Network) configurations, ensuring secure and efficient cloud-to-on-premise communication.
• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for networking projects, guiding junior staff and taking full ownership of assigned projects from initiation to completion.
• Demonstrate the ability to work independently and effectively manage time and project deliverables with minimal supervision.
• Security & Compliance
• Implement and enforce robust network security policies through firewall configuration, VPN management, and access control mechanisms.
• Ensure the network infrastructure meets all required security standards and regulatory compliance mandates.
