This role comes under 'CoreOps Service Private Limited', Air Arabia's newly launched Global Capability Center in Pune, India.

CoreOps Services Private Limited (a subsidiary of 'Air Arabia PJSC') caters to the global business operations of the Air Arabia group and provides operations support to the Air Arabia parent company as well as its subsidiaries, joint ventures and associates worldwide. 'CoreOps' focuses on centralizing, standardizing, and streamlining processes for efficient functioning of the business

Job Purpose

Responsible for ensuring the obligation to pay the right amount of taxes in compliance with Federal Tax Authority, by verification of all related financial data. Also, cross checking them against the accounting entries to ensure Tax recorded properly.

Key Result Responsibilities

1.    Evaluates and supports on continuous basis the implementation of Corporate Taxation in UAE along with Transfer pricing to ensure the business transactions are tax complied.

2.    Reviews and supports the transactions on taxation compliance in Nepal, Thailand, Poland, Iran and Bangladesh.

3.    Independently analyzes and interpret provisions under the UAE Federal Tax Law and other tax countries as applicable in the network; as also provisions pertaining to International Tax.

4.    Evaluates contracts and analyzes their Tax implications.

5.    Prepares internal controls and checks for sanity in tax accounting.

6.    Manages the Transfer Pricing transactions and related inspections or audits. Review the related party transactions and evaluate the tax impact and highlight to the Group the tax implications.

7.    Partners with Airline companies in Group and other subsidiaries to review of all direct and indirect taxes, returns and other compliances across.

8.    Liaises with external Statutory and Tax Auditors, tax consultants and managing tax assessments.

9.    Reviews and manages compliance for overseas locations and taxation impact on foreign transactions.

10.    Manages the Group's direct and indirect tax management, reporting, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

11.    Analyzes the various taxation reports for tax compliance.

12.    Reviews and manages internal & external Financial & Tax Audit reviews for Airline and Subsidiary companies, ensuring smooth inspection as per adopted procedures and compliance with audit requirements. Ensure that corrective measures are implemented based on findings as and necessary.

13.    Takes responsibility for ensuring the obligation to pay the right amount of taxes in compliance with tax laws, by verification of all related financial data.

14.    Completes data collection and review of all business transactions from the tax perspective. Also, review reconciliation of tax reports with source documents / trial balance and posting necessary adjustments for compliances.

15.    Assists in reviewing and filing corporate tax returns with necessary supporting documents.

16.    Utilizes excellent time management skills to prepare & file VAT returns / refunds in a timely manner.

17.    Verifies account balances by performing reconciliations on tax general ledger accounts.

18.    Implements policies, internal controls, and processes to ensure compliance with UAE tax provisions. Also, analyzes gaps in processes to improve tax refunds & avoid leakages in coordination with other departments / teams.

19.    Manages the relationship with internal & external stakeholders to ensure appropriate handling of all tax obligations, and the timely resolution of FTA notices.

20.    Collaborates proactively with the tax consultant / Group Tax Team and effectively develops tax policies & processes to ensure conformity with corporate income tax.

21.    Perform any additional duties as directed by the line manager.

Profile description :

Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)

Chartered Accountant

Strong fundamental financial knowledge is a prerequisite.

Strong MS excel, MS access, MS power point knowledge is must.

Fluent in English Language

Work Experience

5-7 years industry experience and taxation. Related experience in International Taxation & Global Transfer Pricing is a preference

Strong accounting, analytical, and research skills.

Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance and procedures for corporations.

Ability to work well independently as well as the ability to work well with stakeholders and communicate the benefits of tax initiatives. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Attention to detail : Must be meticulously detailed individuals to accurately filling the reports, preparation of documents / record keeping, and effective performance of other duties assigned.
