- Roles & Responsibilities of Bank Staff
- Relationship Manager / Customer Service Officer
- Greet and assist the customer.
- Explain differences between savings and current accounts.
- Help choose the right product based on the customer's needs.
- Provide account opening forms and explain documentation requirements.
- Document Verification Officer / Back Office
- Verify KYC documents (ID proof, address proof, PAN card, etc.).
- Perform background checks (e.g., blacklist checks, compliance screening).
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of the form.
- Operations Team
- Open the account in the core banking system.
- Generate account number and link services (debit card, net banking, etc.).
- Send confirmation to the customer.
- Ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., RBI guidelines, AML norms).
- Branch Manager / Authorizing Officer
- Approve account opening if required (especially for high-risk or business accounts).
- Monitor quality and compliance of account opening procedures.
- Handle escalations or complex cases.
