JOB SUMMARY

The Cisco Wireless Engineer will be responsible for the design, deployment, optimization, and support of enterprise-grade Cisco Wireless LAN solutions. The role involves working with Cisco Catalyst and AireOS Wireless LAN Controllers, access points, and Cisco DNA Centre to ensure secure, reliable, and high-performance wireless connectivity across the organization.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, implement, and optimize Cisco Wireless solutions including Catalyst Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC), Access Points, DNA Centre, and integration with Identity Services Engine (ISE).
• Provide end-to-end technical leadership on enterprise wireless projects, from HLD / LLD creation to deployment and validation.
• Configure and optimize SSID, RF profiles, channel / power settings, RRM, and QoS policies.
• Manage and monitor wireless infrastructure through Cisco Prime Infrastructure and DNA Center.
• Integrate wireless networks with ISE for 802.1X authentication and policy control.
• Troubleshoot wireless connectivity, roaming, interference, and performance issues.
• Implement guest Wi-Fi solutions, location analytics, and BYOD policies.
• Support Wi-Fi 6 / 6E deployments and migration from legacy wireless architectures.
• Collaborate with network and security teams on wired / wireless integration and network segmentation.
• Document wireless design, configurations, and change procedures.
• Perform RF design and surveys (Ekahau or Cisco tools) for indoor and outdoor deployments, ensuring optimal coverage and capacity planning.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS & CERTIFICATIONS

Education : Diploma / Bachelors / Engineering in Computer Science / Electronics.

Certifications : Active CCIE Wireless (Mandatory)
