Job description

About the Role : The position will be part of Sales Engineering team who will provide technical sales support to the sales team and all customers in India and the Philippines. This position requires strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and passion for delivering exceptional customer service. The Sales Engineer's responsibilities include maintaining extensive knowledge of the products parts, functions, and processes. The position would be responsible for technical support and solutions relating to all Aviat products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Own all technical aspects of Tender responses to ensure that it meets or exceeds the customer’s expectations.
  • Collaborating with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support.
  • Preparing and developing technical presentations to explain Aviat’s products, solutions, or services to customers.
  • Following up after initial contact with customers, securing and renewing orders, completing sales, arranging deliveries, and providing proof of concept (POC).
  • Discussing equipment needs and system requirements with customers and engineering.
  • Helping customers who have problems with installed products and recommending improved or upgraded products or solutions.
  • Soliciting and logging customer feedback and evaluating the data to create new sales and marketing strategies to target customers.
  • Training other members of the sales team in the technical aspects of the company's products and services.
  • Maintain a regular and open communication channel with the Product Line management and Product Marketing team and the other regional Technical Support teams.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Candidate should have an Engineering or equivalent degree from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 5-7 Year Experience in the field of telecommunications.
  • SKILLS

  • Fluent in English, both oral and written, and able to articulate and express oneself.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Sense of ownership and pride in one’s performance and its impact on company’s success.
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented, multi-tasking and able to deal with deadlines.
  • Ability to learn new technologies.
  • The ability to relate technical information to non-technical customers.
  • Good leadership and teamwork skills.
