Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE)

Job descriptionLead efforts to identify and solve quality problems (CAPA). Track and ensure corrective actions are taken to fix issues and prevent them from happening again. Visit suppliers to check their quality processes and performance. Monitor key metrics like PPM (parts per million) and give feedback to suppliers for improvement. Investigate and solve quality issues using tools like 5 Whys or Fishbone diagrams. Work with suppliers to find and fix the root cause of problems. Help improve quality and efficiency by suggesting process improvements. Use methods like Lean or Six Sigma to reduce defects. Keep accurate records of inspections, audits, CAPA actions, and test results. Prepare reports to update management on quality performance. Work closely with internal teams like Engineering , Manufacturing , and Procurement to meet quality goals. Support suppliers in meeting quality standards and improve their processes. Provide guidance to suppliers on quality expectations and improvement practices. Identify and address risks related to supplier quality, ensuring smooth production. Make sure all work follows industry standards and customer requirements.
