Senior Oracle Database Administrator

Description : Role Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle DBA to lead the administration, optimization, and security of our Oracle database landscape, including mission-critical systems supporting enterprise applications like SAP. This role requires deep Oracle expertise, along with exposure to SAP Basis-related database administration to support SAP environments running on Oracle. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in Oracle database technologies, high availability architecture, and hands-on experience with SAP-Oracle integration or collaboration with SAP Basis teams.

Key Responsibilities :

• Administer, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot multiple Oracle databases (11g, 12c, 19c, 21c) in production, development, and QA environments.
• Perform installations, upgrades, patching, and migrations (including platform and cross-version migrations).
• Optimize database performance using AWR, ASH, OEM, and advanced tuning techniques.
• Manage high availability and disaster recovery configurations using Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and GoldenGate.
• Implement and test robust backup / recovery strategies using RMAN and / or third-party tools.
• Automate administrative tasks and reporting using shell scripting, PL / SQL, or Python.
• Collaborate with SAP Basis team to support SAP systems using Oracle, including performance tuning and backup coordination.
• Ensure database compliance with security, audit, and regulatory standards (SOX, ISO, etc.).
• Participate in capacity planning, infrastructure scaling, and cloud database strategy (OCI, AWS RDS, etc.).
• Lead database initiatives such as cloud adoption, consolidation, and disaster recovery

planning.
