Job description

Nisum is looking for a skilled Cassandra & Oracle DBA to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for database development, optimization, and troubleshooting complex problems in both relational and NoSQL environments. Responsibilities :

Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, time management, and organization skills.
Foster a collaborative team environment.
Exhibit knowledge and comprehension of core business functions, processes, and operations.
Work effectively within a global delivery model.
Lead discussions and drive solutions for complex database challenges.
Troubleshoot complex problems efficiently.
Be a self-starter, capable of helping to develop a roadmap for handling database upgrades.
Database Development and Optimization :
Design, develop, and maintain complex PL / SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and views for mission-critical applications.
Analyze execution plans and apply indexing strategies and PL / SQL for performance (e.g., bulk operations, indexing, pipelined functions).
Ensure normalization, integrity constraints, partitioning, and effective indexing.
Collaborate with DBAs for capacity planning and system tuning.
Handle multiple tasks and adapt to a constantly changing environment.
Work comfortably on a distributed, multi-time zone team.

What You Know :

Strong SQL background and ability to troubleshoot and tune SQL performance issues.

Experience with Cassandra / CQL / DataStax tools .

Firm understanding of the core concepts of Cassandra and ability to assist with troubleshooting problems.

Experience with Oracle GoldenGate replication technology .

Experience with development models such as Agile and SDLC .

Experience in data management best practices .

Good to have : Experience with IBM's DataStage.

Education :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Applications, or a related field.
