Job Description : Senior HR Business Partner – Tech & Product
About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned Senior HR Business Partner (HRBP) to support our Technology & Product organization. This role will act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, drive people strategy, enable high-performing teams, and create a culture where our tech and product talent can do their best work. You will partner closely with engineering managers, product leaders, and cross-functional teams to shape organizational effectiveness and talent outcomes.
Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic Partnership
- Partner with Tech & Product leadership to define and execute the people strategy aligned with business goals.
- Use org insights, data, and trends to influence decision-making and drive proactive interventions.
- Lead and support AOP (Annual Operating Plan) Management for the function, ensuring alignment on workforce planning, budgeting, and capability building needs.
- Coach leaders on organizational design, team structure, succession planning, and long-term capability building.
2. Talent Management & Development
Own end-to-end talent lifecycle for Tech & Product teams : workforce planning, hiring calibration, onboarding, performance management, and internal mobility.Identify skill gaps and collaborate with L&D to design targeted upskilling for engineering, design, and product functions.Enable management capability through coaching, training, and leadership interventions.3. Performance & Culture
Drive a culture of accountability, innovation, and psychological safety within engineering and product teams.Lead performance cycles for the business unit—goal setting, feedback loops, calibrations, and talent reviews.Partner with leaders to strengthen employee engagement, retention, and team health.4. Employee Relations & People Operations
Manage sensitive employee relations cases with fairness, confidentiality, and empathy.Ensure compliance with policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.Optimize HR processes to improve employee experience for Tech & Product teams—including hybrid working norms, career paths, and leadership visibility.5. Organizational Effectiveness
Drive and operationalize AOP-linked organizational priorities , ensuring planned headcount, skills, and structures are in place to deliver business outcomes.Enable org-wide change management programs, including restructuring, new operating models, and tech-product integration.Use data (attrition, engagement, performance, hiring funnel) to diagnose issues and recommend solutions.Partner with HR CoEs (Talent Acquisition, Compensation, L&D, HR Ops) to co-create scalable people programs.Qualifications & Experience
7–12 years of HR experience, with at least 4+ years as an HRBP supporting Tech, Engineering, or Product orgs.Strong exposure to working with senior engineering and product leaders in fast-scaling environments.Proven ability to influence at all levels, from IC engineers to Directors / VPs.Experience in talent development, org design, and employee relations.Strong analytical thinking; ability to use data to diagnose, recommend, and influence.Excellent communication, empathy, and relationship-building skills.What You Bring
