We are seeking a Senior Associate based in India to provide dedicated Investment Banking support focused on the US markets. In this role, you will be a key member of the investment banking team, overseeing the execution of capital offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and other financial advisory services for clients across broad industry segments - technology, industrial & manufacturing, infrastructure, consumer goods, business & financial services.
You will collaborate closely with the client's deal team on high-impact projects, including deal execution, marketing, sourcing, and strategic initiatives. Your responsibilities will also encompass financial modelling, preparation of marketing materials, investor list development, and other support functions. Additionally, you will take part in select client calls and pitch meetings with Senior MDs.
Key Responsibilities :
- Serve as the primary point of contact during the diligence phase, overseeing document requests, formulating diligence questions, and managing ongoing communication with clients.
- Collaborate with the client's deal team to support live and prospective M&A and capital markets transactions across multiple industry verticals, including - technology, industrial & manufacturing, infrastructure, consumer goods, business & financial services.
- Prepare and refine Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs), pitchbooks, teasers, and other marketing materials.
- Build and maintain detailed 3-statement financial models, including projections, sensitivities, and scenario analyses.
- Conduct in-depth valuation analyses, including precedent transactions, trading comparables, and DCF models, ensuring diligence and accuracy.
- Lead and support deal marketing and buyer outreach efforts, including identifying and engaging potential investors and maintaining investor lists with relevant information.
- Assist in deal sourcing initiatives, helping to evaluate and generate potential acquisition targets.
- Ensure compliance measures are upheld within the investment banking team.
- Participate in client calls and pitch meetings with private equity firms, ensuring seamless support to MDs and VPs by knowing the numbers cold and being able to answer investor questions.
- Assist in ad hoc strategic and analytical projects as required by the client's deal team.
Who We're Looking For :
3-5 years of relevant experience in Investment Banking, Transaction Advisory, or Private Equity.Strong educational background : MBA / CA / CPA / Master's / CFA preferred. Exceptional candidates with a bachelor's degree and significant relevant experience may also be considered.Demonstrated experience in M&A execution, deal marketing, and deal sourcing, including CIM development, financial modelling, and outreach.Strong written and verbal communication skills - ability to craft compelling narratives in PowerPoint and present findings.Independent, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and shifting priorities.A client-service mindset with professionalism, responsiveness, and acute attention to detail.Proficiency in building detailed financial models to evaluate performance under various operating scenarios and analysing the impact of different capital structures.Possess confidence on the phone and ability to pitch a deal opportunity to prospective investors.(ref : iimjobs.com)
