Assistant Manager - Human Overview :
The Assistant Manager HR will function as a strategic business partner, providing comprehensive HR support to various departments across corporate and manufacturing operations. This role requires the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships, ensure statutory compliance, manage employee life cycle activities, and contribute to strategic HR initiatives to align with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities :
HR Business Partnering & Employee Engagement :
- Collaborate with business leaders to develop and implement staffing strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Design and execute employee engagement initiatives focused on welfare, development, recreational activities, and mental well-being.
- Act as the first point of contact for employee relations, grievance handling, and conflict resolution.
Talent Management & Workforce Planning :
Support workforce planning, recruitment drives, and onboarding programs to ensure smooth induction.Assist in implementing the Annual Performance Management System (PMS) and provide guidance to managers and employees on performance processes.Payroll & Compliance Management :
Oversee end-to-end payroll processing with strict adherence to timelines and accuracy.Ensure statutory compliance with PF, ESI, Labour Laws, and Department of Factories regulations.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal and regulatory changes impacting HR practices.Training & Development :
Identify skill gaps and coordinate training and development programs to enhance workforce capabilities.Partner with internal and external stakeholders to deliver customized training solutions.Employee Exit & Separation :
Manage the full employee exit cycle including clearance, documentation, and full & final settlements.Conduct exit interviews and share insights to improve retention and employee experience.Strategic Initiatives & Projects :
Participate in organizational HR projects and change management initiatives.Contribute to policy development, HR analytics, and process improvement activities.Qualifications & Skills / PGDBA / MHRM or any Postgraduate Degree with specialization in HR years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Technical & Functional Skills :
Strong knowledge of HR processes, policies, and programs.In-depth understanding of Labour Laws and statutory compliance requirements.Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS / LMS platforms.Behavioral & Interpersonal Skills :
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills; bilingual proficiency is an advantage.Strong interpersonal, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.High attention to detail, ability to maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive information with discretion.Adaptability, time management, and organizational skills with a sense of urgency and follow-through.(ref : iimjobs.com)
