Job descriptionPerform FISH staining on blood, bone marrow, amniotic fluid, POC, and tissue samples Analyze and interpret FISH results in compliance with laboratory standards and protocols
Position : Scientific Officer – Cytogenetics
Desirable Qualification :
B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Human Genetics, Biotechnology, or Life Sciences
Desirable Experience :
2–3 years of hands-on experience in cytogenetic techniques
Key Responsibilities :
1. Chromosomal Analysis
Perform chromosomal analysis from blood, bone marrow, amniotic fluid, and POC (Products of Conception) samples following defined SOPs and quality control parameters , including :
- Preparation of reagents and media
- Setting up and maintaining cell cultures
- Harvesting cell cultures
- Preparing and staining slides (e.g., G-banding or other staining techniques)
- Microscopy and karyotype analysis
2. FISH (Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization) Analysis
