Information Technology Support Engineer

Term Contract - Full-time (2 years)

Council has an exciting opportunity for a hands-on and customer focused  IT Support  Engineer  to join our progressive Information Technology (IT) team and play a key role in supporting Council’s mobile, desktop and telecommunications environment.

You will provide expert second-tier support, resolving complex issues escalated from the IT Help Desk, maintaining systems, and working closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure reliable and efficient IT services across Council.

Your key focus areas are :

  • Prioritise and manage multiple support requests.
  • Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot desktop hardware, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
  • Administer and support Council’s meeting room technologies and associated equipment.
  • Maintain and update the IT knowledge base and ensure accuracy within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
  • Participate in the on-call roster to provide after-hours support as required.

    You are an adaptable and collaborative IT professional who enjoys solving problems and supporting others to use technology effectively. You bring a mix of technical knowledge, customer service, and teamwork to everything you do.

    You will bring :

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, or relevant experience in IT or related fields
  • High level expertise in technical support of mobile and desktop computing in a corporate environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of IT service management methodologies (ITIL)
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to achieve organisational objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to participate effectively in cross-disciplinary teams

  • Competitive salary from $86,734  to $100,799  a year plus 12% superannuation
