Job Description
Job Purpose :
To drive sales growth of the company’s Tile Adhesive products through retail channels (dealers, distributors, retailers) and project-based sales (builders, contractors, architects, developers). The role involves expanding market presence, achieving targets, and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Role and Responsibilities :
1. Sales & Business Development
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for tile adhesive products.
Generate new business through retail outlets, hardware stores, and building material dealers.
Identify and onboard new distributors, dealers, and sub-dealers in the assigned territory.
Develop project leads with builders, developers, and contractors.
Conduct regular field visits to understand customer needs and market potential.
2. Channel & Relationship Management
Maintain strong relationships with existing channel partners to ensure repeat business.
Resolve dealer / retailer issues related to supply, credit, or product quality.
Ensure proper visibility and availability of products across the assigned area.
Conduct promotional activities such as retailer meets, mason meets, and site demos.
3. Market Intelligence & Reporting
Track competitor products, pricing, schemes, and market activities.
Provide weekly sales reports, secondary sales tracking, and market feedback.
Update CRM or reporting tools as per company policy.
4. Technical & Product Knowledge
Demonstrate a clear understanding of different types of tile adhesives (Type 1, 2, 3, etc.).
Educate customers and applicators on product usage, coverage, and surface preparation.
Coordinate with the technical team for on-site trials and after-sales support.
Requirements
Experience : 5+ years in building materials, adhesives, paints, cement, or construction chemicals.
Qualification : Graduate in any discipline (preferably Civil / MBA in Marketing).
Skills :
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Target-oriented and self-motivated
Willingness to travel extensively
Knowledge of local market & customer base
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) :
Achievement of monthly & quarterly sales targets
Dealer / project lead conversion ratio
New dealer appointments per month
Customer satisfaction & complaint resolution
Market coverage & territory growth
Compensation :
Fixed Salary : As per industry standards
Variable / Incentive : Based on sales performance and target achievement
