Job description

Job Title : Tanium Administrator / Engineer.

Location : Pune.

Notice Period : Immediate.

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced IT professional to manage and optimize the Tanium platform across a large enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in endpoint management, security compliance, and automation, with hands-on experience administering multiple Tanium modules. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, efficient, and compliant IT operations.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Administer and configure Tanium modules such as Patch, Deploy, Inventory, Comply, Connect, and Discover.
  • Monitor system health, performance, and compliance metrics via the Tanium Console.
  • Troubleshoot endpoint connectivity and client health issues across large environments.
  • Develop and maintain custom sensors, packages, dashboards, and reports.
  • Automate operational tasks using scripting languages ( PowerShell, Bash, Python ).
  • Integrate Tanium with enterprise tools like SIEM, ITSM , and other IT / security platforms.
  • Support onboarding of new endpoints and maintain infrastructure documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal security policies and external standards ( CIS, NIST ).
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to process and tool improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications :

  • 7-10 years of experience in IT operations, endpoint management, or security management.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux system administration.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages ( PowerShell , Bash ).
  • Experience with endpoint protection, patching, and software deployment tools.
  • Strong analytical , problem-solving , and communication skills.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Hands-on experience managing Tanium production environments.
  • Exposure to SCCM , RHEL Satellite , or similar endpoint management tools.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks such as CIS and NIST.
  • Tanium Fundamentals or Tanium Certified Operator certification.
