About the Role :
We are looking for a seasoned Delivery Head / Technical Director with a strong development background who has transitioned into Big Data and Cloud-based Data Analytics. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in PySpark, Databricks, Azure, and data engineering platforms, with proven success in managing large-scale teams and multiple client engagements. Certification in Azure and Databricks and experience working in Agile / Scrum environments is a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities :
Strategic Delivery Oversight :
- Own end-to-end delivery of multiple Big Data & Cloud analytics projects across different clients, ensuring quality, timelines, and business alignment.
Team Management :
Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of 20-30 engineers, architects, and analysts across geographies.Client Engagement :
Act as the technical point of contact for at least 2 or more concurrent clients, ensuring successful outcomes and satisfaction.Project Governance :
Drive governance using Agile / Scrum methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, and Leadership :Guide teams in designing, developing, and optimizing scalable data pipelines using PySpark, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and related tools.Architecture & Best Practices :
Review architectural designs and enforce engineering best practices, data security, and compliance.Reporting & Analytics :
Work with analytics teams to deliver dashboards and insights using Power BI or Management :Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders (internal and client-side), product owners, and executive sponsors to align on strategic priorities.Must-Have Skills :
Background in software / application development and transitioned into Big Data / Cloud space14+ years of experience in IT, with 6+ years in Big Data and Cloud AnalyticsStrong expertise in :
Python, PySpark, SQLDatabricks & Azure ecosystem (ADF, Synapse, Azure Storage)Data Warehousing concepts and Data Lake ArchitectureExposure to Snowflake (preferred)Proficient in using Power BI for analytics and reportingProven track record in delivering multiple large-scale analytics projectsExperience handling delivery teams of 20-30+ membersExcellent stakeholder communication and leadership skillsCertifications Preferred :
Microsoft Certified : Azure Data Engineer Associate
