Overview :
We seek a Strategic Plant Head to lead our manufacturing facility in Chennai. This pivotal role will oversee all plant operations, ensuring efficient production of superior mechanical auto components. We require a visionary leader with strong engineering and manufacturing acumen, capable of driving strategic initiatives to enhance operational performance and achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities :
Strategic Leadership :
- Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with corporate objectives to optimize plant performance and productivity.
- Drive initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes, quality assurance, and cost-efficiency.
Operational Management :
Oversee daily plant operations, including production, quality control, maintenance, and safety.Implement strategies to improve production efficiency and meet manufacturing targets.Team Leadership & Development :
Lead and mentor a diverse team of managers and supervisors to foster a collaborative and high-performance culture.Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and support professional development initiatives.Quality Assurance & Compliance :
Ensure adherence to stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements.Implement robust quality control measures and drive continuous improvement initiatives to minimize defects and enhance product quality.Safety & Environmental Compliance :
Promote a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments, implementing corrective actions as necessary.Financial Management :
Develop and manage the plant s budget to ensure cost-effective operations and alignment with financial targets.Identify opportunities for cost reduction and optimize resource utilization.Infrastructure & Asset Management :
Oversee maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance of plant equipment and facilities.Plan and execute upgrades and improvements to support production requirements and operational efficiency.Stakeholder Engagement :
Collaborate with senior management to align plant strategies with organizational goals.Foster strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and key stakeholders to enhance business outcomes.Qualifications :
Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the automotive or mechanical components industry.Proven track record of successfully leading plant operations, driving continuous improvement, and achieving operational excellence.Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality management systems, and safety standards.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire teams.Proficiency in ERP systems and other relevant plant management software.Strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to make informed decisions and solve complex problems effectively.
