Exploring the role

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for managing the full payroll cycle, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, and guaranteeing timely disbursement of salaries. This role requires in-depth knowledge of Indian payroll systems, taxation, and statutory compliance, along with proficiency in payroll software and attention to detail.

How Your Day Will Look Like / Job Responsibility

• End-to-End Payroll Processing : Manage the complete payroll cycle, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements.
• Statutory Compliance : Ensure compliance with Indian payroll regulations, including Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance (ESI), Professional Tax (PT), Gratuity, Labour Welfare Fund (LWF), and Income Tax (TDS) deductions.
• Taxation and Filing : Handle tax computations, withholdings, and remittances for income tax (TDS). Ensure timely filing of returns and generate Form 16 and Form 24Q for employees.
• Employee Queries : Address and resolve employee queries related to payroll, taxation, benefits, and deductions promptly.
• Audit & Reconciliation : Conduct regular payroll audits to ensure accuracy and compliance, identifying discrepancies and rectifying them in a timely manner.
• Monthly & Year-End Reports : Prepare and deliver accurate payroll reports for management and statutory bodies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Consulting & Advisory : Provide expert advice on payroll-related issues, statutory obligations, and changes in tax laws.
