Core responsibilities
- Direct patient care : Administering medications, injections, and treatments; monitoring vital signs; assisting with medical procedures; and providing wound care and other technical skills.
- Patient assessment and planning : Assessing patient health, recording medical histories, and developing or contributing to patient care plans.
- Collaboration and communication : Working with physicians, other nurses, and healthcare professionals to coordinate care and discussing patient cases.
- Documentation : Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records of their medical histories, symptoms, and progress.
- Patient and family education : Informing patients and their families about health conditions, disease prevention, and home care after treatment.
Additional duties
