Software Quality Manager key responsibilities include the following :
- Manage Software Quality engineers or teams.
- Assure that products meet established requirements.
- Authorize product release.
- Assure that software quality processes are followed.
- Promote best practices in software development, Automation testing and compliance to improve product quality, reduce defects, and reduce risk to the organization and customers.
1.0 Duties and responsibilities
Manage Software Quality engineers or teams to make sure activities are performed in a timely manner and according to standards.Provide technical guidance to Software Quality team and other Development teams related to software testing and product quality.Provide the necessary training to build and improve Software Quality team skills.Set up performance goals for Software Quality teams; evaluate performance; provide coaching and facilitate professional development.Assure that software quality processes are consistently followed.Assure that product and related testing documentation meet established requirements.Analyze defects, bugs, and non-conformities and improve the process to eliminate root causes and prevent recurrence of issues.Deliver reports and KPIs on product quality and process efficiency to management.Researches software quality assurance and control techniques and provides analysis for improving product quality.2.0 Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science / Information Systems or any related field.Master’s degree in computer science / Information Systems or any related field is a plus.At least 3 years of related experience in software industry in leadership positions.At least 3 years of related experience in Automation software testing positions.Strong knowledge in SDLC, software quality assurance, software testing types, test automation, techniques, and principles.Strong leadership, management and communication skills.Knowledge in LS regulations and how they impact software quality is a plus.
