POSITION SUMMARY
The Data and Business Intelligence Analyst will play a key role in building and maintaining EduFinance’s data infrastructure while delivering insightful analysis through Power BI and Excel. The role is a hybrid between data engineering and analytics, requiring strong technical skills in SQL, Python, and data pipelines, as well as the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Data
Supervise management and maintenance of data collection tools that are used by all EduFinance departments (EFP, Education Quality, MERL)
E.g., Fulcrum, Google Forms, Titus, Salesforce
Design, build and maintain robust ETL pipelines (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, APIs).
Administration and optimization of the EduFinance SQL database on Microsoft Azure
Ensure high-quality , clean, and well-documented data pipelines and dataflows
Implement and maintain data quality controls.
Manage special data projects as EduFinance expands into new areas
Business Intelligence & Analytics
Develop and maintain interactive PBI dashboards and automated reporting tools for EFP, Education Quality, MERL
Conduct in-depth analysis using SQL, Power BI, Python, and Excel to provide actionable insights to support decision-making
Use Excel (including Power Query, PivotTables, advanced formulas, and macros where applicable) for ad hoc analyses
Present findings and insights to internal teams, financial institution partners, and other stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
Ensure dashboards and data collection tools are accurately reflecting the status of the program
Special projects that require data analysis for the purposes of making stronger business decisions.

QUALIFICATIONS
Undergraduate degree in data science, computer engineering, statistics, or another quantitative field required
Minimum 3 years’ experience in SQL development and database administration experience (Azure SQL preferred).
Minimum 3 years’ experience building and maintaining ETL pipelines (Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, or similar tools).
Proficiency with APIs and data integration methods.
Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, PivotTables, advanced formulas, macros a plus).
Expertise in Power BI (DAX, data modeling, dashboard / report design).
Proficiency in Python for data transformation, automation, and analysis.
Passionate about Opportunity’s mission. Able to promote and communicate the organization’s goals and objectives to external and internal stakeholders.
Desirable skills :
Experience with Salesforce or similar CRMs.
Knowledge of R for advanced analysis.
Experience with version control (Git / GitHub / Azure DevOps) and collaborative coding practices.
Familiarity with data governance frameworks, such as GDPR compliance
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Written and verbal fluency in English required, fluency in French or Spanish desirable but not required
