QA / QC Engineer

Job Description

To conduct on-ground quality control activities, including inspections and tests. The QA / QC Engineer is responsible for verifying that all materials and workmanship comply with the project's quality plan, ITPs, and technical specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities :

Conduct inspections of incoming materials to ensure they meet project specifications.

• Carry out stage-wise inspections of works as per the approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
• Prepare and raise Inspection Requests (IRs) to the relevant parties for witness and approval.
• Maintain comprehensive quality records, including inspection reports, test results, and checklists.
• Coordinate with third-party laboratories for material testing and review the results.
• Identify and document any non-conforming works and assist in closing out Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
• Ensure all testing and measuring equipment on-site is properly calibrated.
• Provide support during quality audits conducted by the client or other parties.

Key Skills : Strong knowledge of material specifications and testing procedures. Familiarity with relevant IS Codes and other industry standards. Meticulous attention to detail. Ability to maintain clear and accurate records. Good communication skills. Qualifications : B.E. / B. Tech or Diploma in the relevant engineering discipline (Civil). Experience : 3 to 8 years of dedicated experience as a QA / QC Engineer on construction sites.
